The fourth Thursday of the month of November is approaching which means Thanksgiving will be celebrated in the USA.
Families and friends will gather together to share a large festive meal, watch football and possibly start or finish their Christmas shopping.

There is more to Thanksgiving than just the meal and the activities. It is a time to reflect on the things that matter most in your life.

As you gather with those that you hold near and dear, think to yourself, "what am I truly thankful for about each of these individuals and this moment?

“Is it that...
  • They prepared the meal;
  • They invited you;
  • They make you laugh;
  • They are always up for an adventure
  • Their confidence in your abilities
  • They challenge you to be patient because of their obstinate nature;
  • They are always there to celebrate your wins
  • They have supported you through some difficult times
Is it...
  • Time to wind down
  • Catching up with friends and family
  • The fall weather
  • Food prepared with love
  • The ‘traditions’ - in my house it’s the cousin who always spills their drink
  • The real traditions that are unique to your household

Contemplate what you're thankful for and perhaps be brave enough to share it.

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” – William Arthur Ward

Recognize your moments and the people that you hold dear because you never know when it will be the last time.

We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives. -
John F. Kennedy.
